We live in a complex and challenging society. To effectively withstand the many problems facing youth requires the development of creative prevention skills. Too many of our youth have or know others who have been involved in violent crimes. Our youth need to use more constructive and peaceful methods when solving conflict or dealing with life's issues. If we empower our young people to constructively think rationally instead of irrationally, they can resolve issues peacefully instead of violently.

Communities need to help empower its youth by implementing positive programs that will effectively help reduce, prevent, and protect them from teen pregnancy, drugs, violent crimes, truancy, health concerns and all of the negative decisions that will eventually lead them down a road of destruction.

If today's youth are prepared properly then all the wonderful things that life has to offer can be achieved.  We must provide the necessary tools: life skills, forums, rap sessions, and various initiatives that will help improve their choices and the decisions they are making. This will ultimately help to build positive, productive, and all-around students/citizens in every community.
